Welcome to the Procurement and Contracting pages of the IMO website. This website will support all potential contractor with key information relating to business opportunities with the IMO.
If you are interested in participating in a specific procurement opportunity, it is important that the company familiarise themselves with the applicable procurement and contracting processes while completing the bidding documents.
The IMO carries out its procurement process under strict adherence to the principles of transparency, fairness, impartiality, effective competition and best value for money, as well as international best practices.
The IMO does not charge a fee for receiving the bidding documents.
It should be noted that the content of the IMO's bidding documents may be amended from time to time, prior to the deadline for submission of bids. Any such amendment will be posted on this website and will be binding on all bidders. Therefore, if you intend to submit a bid/proposal for a specific procurement opportunity, it is highly recommended/advised to regularly check this website for any amendments or clarification notes issued to the bidding documents.
All bids/proposals must be prepared and submitted in accordance with the IMO General Instruction for Bidders and as per Instruction indicated in the relevant solicitation.
The IMO also publish its business opportunities in the United Nations Global Marketplace
Please note that the IMO does not use procurement agents. Any approach by a third party claiming to be official agents to the IMO should be reported to the relevant IMO procurement staff immediately.
Important legal notice
The IMO reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, and to annul, in whole or in part, or to suspend the bidding process and reject all bids at any time prior to contract award, without thereby incurring any liability to the affected bidder or bidders or any obligation to inform the affected bidder or bidders of the reasons for the IMO's action.
