IMO Conference Division

The Conference Division provides logistical, interpretation, documentation and translation services for IMO meetings.  Over the last few years, the focus has been on seeking efficiencies through modernization of processes for delivering those services. This includes new translation and documentation systems, better conditions of work for staff, and the introduction of audio recording as well as other measures to control the costs of international meetings.

Conference Division structure

The Conference Division includes two Subdivisions:

Subdivision for Documents, Terminology and Translation (Working Languages):

• Documents, Language Technologies, Terminology and Reference Section 
• English Translation Section
• French Translation Section
• Spanish Translation Section

Subdivision for Meeting Services, Interpretation and Translation (Other official languages):

• Meeting Services and Interpretation Section
• Arabic Translation Section
• Chinese Translation Section
• Russian Translation Section
