Green Shipping conference

The green transition presents challenges and opportunities for the global shipping sector. IMO, in collaboration with the Maritime Authorities of Ghana and Denmark, has co-organized and co-sponsored, through IMO's Integrated Technical Cooperation Programme (ITCP), a Green Shipping conference in Accra, Ghana (15-16 February). The conference provided a forum to discuss opportunities and challenges for African countries in the decarbonization of international shipping. The theme was "Unlocking Opportunities for Green Shipping in Africa."
