Consultative Meetings of Contracting Parties (London Convention 1972) and Meetings of Contracting Parties (London Protocol 1996)
The 1972 London Convention and its 1996 Protocol regulate dumping of wastes and other matter at sea. These consultative meetings of Contracting Parties to those treaties address all issues that come under their remit, including assessing waste for which dumping at sea may be permitted, radioactive wastes, marine geoengineering and carbon capture and storage.
